Easy Direct Print Without a Computer
The CP-600 makes it easy to print radiant, crisp professional quality photos right at home. Just plug in a select Canon digital camera or PictBridge supported digital camera. Instantly, you have complete control of the printer's customized functions including automatic printing using DPOF, index printing, partial image printing, multiple copy printing, exact size printing and more. It's amazingly simple because you operate it all straight from your camera. You can even add a date stamp. All without ever touching a computer.
PC and Mac Compatible
Prefer to print from your PC? Just plug in a standard USB cable and you're good to go. Canon Photo Printers let you plug in a USB computer general purpose cable so you can output images stored on your hard drive. Printer drivers and Canon software are included with the printer so you have the option to print from your PC or MAC.
PictBridge Technology
The Canon Selphy CP-600 is PictBridge compliant. PictBridge is the worldwide direct printing standard that allows any PictBridge-compliant printer to print directly from any PictBridge compliant digital camera. Standard PictBridge features include the choice between borderless and bordered prints, optional date imprinting, print quantity selection, and trimming (cropping) of individual images. All of these features are controlled through a simple menu system on the camera's LCD monitor.
Automatic Dynamic Range Correction
The CP-600's PictBridge support includes Automatic Dynamic Range Correction function. When using PictBridge technology, the brightness of prints may vary depending on the connecting camera. To balance the brightness or contrast of a photograph, Automatic Dynamic Range Correction automatically corrects the variances. This function is effective when the PictBridge image optimize flag is set to the on position in the camera's LCD monitor menu.
N-Up Printing and Fixed Size Printing
The Compact Photo Printer Selphy CP-600 joins the CP-400 printer in supporting all current PictBridge functions and printing protocols. As PictBridge is established as the global industry standard for direct printing from any PictBridge compliant camera to any PictBridge compliant printer regardless of brand, these functions include printing of single images or several selected images, DPOF automatic batch printing, and index printing.
Additionally, the CP-600 also incorporates all of the advanced PictBridge setup features including print cropping, print quantity selection, date imprinting, paper size selection, choice of bordered or borderless printing and most notably, Layout print (fixed size or N-up) and File Name Print. In the Layout Print Fixed Size mode, the user can even select a print size smaller than the size paper it is to be printed on. This allows for the addition of text and other enhancements, creation of custom postcards, greeting cards, and announcements (up to 4" x 8" with the optional paper tray and supplied software templates*) or simply printing for example, a 3" x 5" photo on 4" x 6" paper or artistically floating an image on a larger field of white.
In the Layout Print N-up mode, the user can print multiple identical or different images on the same piece of paper with the size and layout of each image automatically determined according to the paper size (postcard size, credit card size or greeting card size). The number of N-up images possible is based on the number of images supported by the digital camera and the printer. For example, on the credit card size, a borderless layout of eight copies of the same image is possible. Finally, in File Name Print mode, the name of the photo file (up to 24 characters) can be printed directly on the photograph, or in instances of Layout (N-up) printing with different images can position the file name under the image as one would write a caption.
Using PictBridge (as well as the wireless IrDA connection) also allows the CP600 to print a full-area of 4" x 8" greeting-card-sized prints without using a computer application program. This means that a whole 4" x 8" greeting-card-sized image can more quickly, easily, and portably be printed with or without a border.

Brilliant 300-dpi, Long-Lasting Prints
With the CP-600, you can produce prints that match the appearance and long-life of images produced by traditional film processes. Engineered for superior picture quality, this printer has a resolution of 300-dpi and 256 levels of color so you can create richly detailed prints from 2.0 Megapixel or greater cameras. Dye-Sublimation technology controls the ink flow to deliver a full range of realistic tones and shadings, so color is natural and true-to-life.
The CP-600 printer creates water and fade resistant prints that last as long as traditional film prints. For durability, the CP-600 adds a transparent, protective overcoating to each print that shields it from the damaging effects of sunlight and humidity. High Quality Postcard Size Prints in Just 85 Seconds
The Canon CP-600 produces brilliantly colored, long lasting, prints that rival the appearance and durability of images created by traditional film processors. And it takes just 102 seconds* to create 4" x 8" (wide size) prints. 4" x 6" (postcard size) images print in just 81 seconds,* and credit card size pictures require only 40 seconds* to print. Using 300-dpi dye-sublimation technology with 256 levels of color, this compact photo printer renders skin tones, shadings and fine details with true-to-life accuracy.

Credit Card Size Full Labels (2" x 3")* - With its adhesive back, this small label is made for attaching to letters, cards or anything else you can dream up.

ID Photo Print and Movie Print Options With Select Canon Digital Cameras
Select Canon PowerShot digital cameras feature Direct Print options that can be used with the CP-600 printer, including ID Photo Print that automatically generates passport style prints on 4" x 6" paper as well as ID prints of various sizes (selectable on the camera-menu). You can also print thumbnail sequences from movie clips from select PowerShot digital cameras. Up to 63 thumbnails can be printed on 4" x 6" postcard-size paper.

Print Photos From Compatible Infrared Cell Phone
The CP-600 is compatible with wireless printing from IrDA-equipped camera phones that use the IrOBEX "vNote" protocol| for image transfer.
AC or Battery Power
The Canon CP-600 kit includes a new increased power Canon rechargeable battery pack NB-CP2L that can be recharged in the printer when the included AC adapter is plugged in. The CP-600 can also be powered directly from an AC outlet via the adapter. An optional car battery adapter is available to power your printer on the road.
