Easy Direct Print Without a Computer

The CP-220 makes it easy to print radiant, crisp professional quality photos right at home. Just plug in a select Canon digital camera or PictBridge supported digital camera. Instantly, you have complete control of the Printers' customized functions including automatic printing using DPOF, index printing, partial image printing, multiple copy printing, exact size printing and more. It's amazingly simple because you operate it all straight from your camera. You can even add a date stamp. All without ever touching a computer.

PictBridge Technology

The Canon CP-220 is also PictBridge-compatible. PictBridge is the worldwide direct printing standard that allows any PictBridge-compatible printer to print directly from any PictBridge-compatible digital camera. Though earlier models in the CP Printer series supported basic PictBridge features, the CP-220 provides further PictBridge support with the new Automatic Dynamic Range Correction function. When using PictBridge technology, the brightness of prints may vary depending on the connecting camera. To balance the brightness or contrast of a photograph, Automatic Dynamic Range Correction automatically corrects the variances. This function is effective when the PictBridge image optimize flag is set to the on position in the camera's LCD monitor menu.

With the CP-220, you can produce prints that match the appearance and long-life of images produced by traditional film processes. Engineered for superior picture quality, this printer has a resolution of 300-dpi and 256 levels of color so you can create richly detailed prints from 2.0 Megapixel or greater cameras. Dye-Sublimation technology controls the ink flow to deliver a full range of realistic tones and shadings, so color is natural and true-to-life.

The CP-220 printer creates water and fade resistant prints that last as long as traditional film prints. For durability, the CP-220 adds a transparent, protective overcoating to each print that shields it from the damaging effects of sunlight and humidity.

• Credit card size label (2" x 3") - With its adhesive back, this small label is made for attaching to letters, cards or anything else you can dream up.
• 8-piece mini labels - An impressive addition to resumes, school work, or notes to grandma, these mini labels give you eight identical images on a single credit card sized print.

New 4" x 8" Print Size

The new 4" x 8" wide paper size allows you to create and print personalized greeting cards for nearly any occasion. The CP-220 comes equipped with drivers and application software that include a wide variety of templates and clip art to personalize your greetings, holiday cards, birth announcements, party invitations, and many other projects.* For your convenience, the new 4" x 8" paper is available in 24-sheet packs together with an ink ribbon cartridge, so no additional supplies are necessary. The 4" x 8" paper tray is an optional accessory with the CP-220.

ID Photo Print and Movie Print Options With Select Canon Digital Cameras

Select Canon PowerShot digital cameras feature new Direct Print options that can be used with the CP-220 printer, including ID Photo Print that automatically generates passport style prints on 4" x 6" paper as well as ID prints of various sizes (selectable on the camera-menu). You can also print thumbnail sequences from movie clips from select PowerShot digital cameras. Up to 63 thumbnails can be printed on 4" x 6" postcard-size paper.
