What is a Memory Stick?
The Memory Stick is a form of flash memory developed by Sony. The memory stick is used in various digital products including the Sony VAIO, Sony digital cameras, Digial audio Mp3 players, PDA's, cell phones, In car solutions, mobile phones and the new Playstation Portable (PSP).
The Memory Stick was initially limited to 128 MB. The Memory Stick Pro offers increased memory storage size, with sizes of 32GB expected in the future. The Memory Stick Duo is an even smaller version of the stick, approximately one third in size and is used in wearable media solutions and mobile / cell phones. The Memory Stick PRO DUO offers a balance of small size and higher storage and performance sizes. Memory Stick PRO is ideal for Playstation-Portables (PSP's). Many Sony Ericsson mobile cell phones use Memory Stick DUO for enhanced features.
By upgrading the current memory of your digital device you can store more music, video, games, ringtones, wallpapers, pc data and much more. Memory stick sizes from 64 MB to a massive 1GB (1000 MB) Memory Stick are available.
