Panasonics new multi-format portable DVD players offer consumers more ways than ever to enjoy a wide range of entertainment choices, whether at home or on the road. New models DVD-LS90 and DVD-LX95, slated for introduction in spring, feature a 9-inch (diagonal screen measurement) LCD 16:9 high-resolution screen with an adjustable arm that allows for a multitude of viewing angles ― an especially convenient feature for travel.
Consumers today have more choices in digital entertainment than ever before, said Alberto Reggiani, National Marketing Manager for Panasonic. These new portable DVD players accommodate a variety of digital formats, letting consumers take their favorite entertainment ― from the latest movie releases on DVD to MP3 music files to digital photo collections ― wherever they go.
Both models can play back DVD video, DVD-RAM, DVD-RW1 DVD-R1, +R1, +RW1 audio and video CDs, and CD-R/-RW2 discs and HighMAT (level II) ,WMA, MP3*, JPEG and MPEG44. A car DC adaptor is included with both models. The units built-in, long-play rechargeable battery packs enable hours of entertainment: up to 6 hours with the DVD-LS90 and up to 10 hours with the DVD-LX95. The DVD-LX95 and DVD-LS90 also features dual headphone jacks, allowing two users to enjoy music and movies.
Model DVD-LX95 adds DVD-Audio playback capability, and also features an SD Memory Card slot, so users can enjoy jpeg photo as well as MPEG4 movie collections wherever they go.
Another great travel feature is the players ability to play back the audio from a DVD wirelessly through car stereo speakers. Simply tune the car's radio to an FM Station, and the players built-in FM transmitter will deliver the audio through the car's speakers.
Panasonics fully-featured portable DVD players are also well-suited for at-home entertainment, and easily connect to home theater components.
